Dear Members, Families, & Friends of KSQ,

It is both a privilege and a heartfelt honour to serve as the President of Kannada Sangha Queensland Inc. for the year 2025–27. Having served as Treasurer in the previous term, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with our committee and community, gaining a deeper appreciation for the values, resilience, and dedication that have shaped our Sangha.

Throughout my journey, I’ve always believed in the value of giving back to people, to culture, and to the roots that shape our identity. For me, the Sangha has always been more than a cultural body; it is a living, breathing community one that connects generations, preserves our rich heritage, and provides a home away from home.

Our team this year is named "Aikya" (ಐಕ್ಯ), a word that beautifully captures our vision: unity, harmony, and togetherness. We come from diverse paths, but we are bound by a shared love for Kannada language and culture.

Through Aikya, we aim to create inclusive, meaningful experiences that celebrate who we are and where we come from, while also opening our arms to those who are just beginning their journey with us.

As we enter our 30th year since the Sangha’s inception in 1995, I am inspired by the dedication of those who came before us. Their tireless efforts have built the foundation on which we stand today. Our goal is to carry this legacy forward with fresh ideas, inclusive programs, and renewed energy that engages youth, respects tradition, and empowers future leaders.

I look forward to working closely with our committee, volunteers, and community partners to make this a memorable year. Let us come together to build bridges, celebrate milestones, and write the next chapter of our Sangha’s journey as one united community.
